Our History

Signal and Communications Associates was founded to provide a high level of professionalism and quality service to the railroad industry. The SCA partners have over a century of combined experience in the field of railroad signaling, communications, RF systems engineering, signal system design, and related disciplines. SCA provides a variety of services including signal system and component inspection and testing, design services, training, new product (prototype) development for our industry partners, and expertise in related disciplines.

The Shunt Enhancer

The Pintsch Shunt Enhancer prototype was designed and developed for Pintsch North America in the Signal and Communications Associates lab. This new product is designed to mitigate shunting sensitivity problems on existing vital track circuits.

The Annunciator

The Pintsch North America Annunciator was also developed for Pintsch North America in the Signal and Communications Associates lab. The Annunciator automatically notifies personnel by text message, email, or phone call when rail cars are delivered to an industrial facility or railroad.
